Core Logic and Objective
Number Placement Puzzle Challenge asks you to complete a grid by placing digits so that every row and column contains the numbers 1 through 9 exactly once. Some cells start filled; the rest are empty. The rule is simple: no digit can repeat in any row or column. This constraint drives every decision, and the puzzle rewards systematic thinking over guesswork.
How a Turn Works
Select a difficulty level that matches your experience. Tap or click an empty cell, then choose a number from the provided panel. If the digit breaks the row or column rule, the cell may change color to signal an error, letting you try another number. A timer tracks how long you take, but it counts up rather than down, so there is no time pressure. The session ends when every cell is filled correctly.
Difficulty and Replay
Multiple difficulty settings let you start with easier grids and work up to harder ones. Each puzzle is generated to be unique, so you can replay without seeing the same layout twice. The timer is useful if you like tracking your improvement over time, but it never forces a pace. Because the game is free to play, contains no interrupting ads, and requires no registration or personal information, you can open it and solve at your own speed.
Approach for New Solvers
Begin with the easiest difficulty to learn how the row and column rule interacts. Use elimination: if a number already appears in a row or column, it cannot go there again. Scan for cells that have only one possible digit. If you feel stuck, step away briefly; returning often makes the next placement obvious. Accuracy matters more than speed, so treat the timer as reference only.
