Three Gentle Activities
Baby Room Preparation for Kids follows Zoe, a happy mom-to-be, as she gets ready for her new baby. The game is built around three separate activities: making a special card for her husband Kris, shopping for comfortable maternity clothes, and decorating the baby room with furniture and toys. Each activity is self-contained, so children can complete them in any order they choose. The game runs in a browser and works on smartphones and tablets, including iPhone, iPad, Samsung, and other Android devices. [IMG_1]
Designing the Card for Kris
The first activity asks players to create a card for Zoe's husband. Children choose colors and stickers, then write a sweet message. There are no wrong choices, so the card can look any way the player wants. The game provides clear instructions for each step, but the creative decisions are left entirely open. This activity introduces a simple cause-and-effect loop: pick an element, see it appear on the card, and adjust as desired. [IMG_2]
Shopping for Maternity Clothes
In the second activity, players browse different styles and colors of maternity dresses. After looking through the options, they pick one outfit for Zoe. The selection process is straightforward: view the available dresses, compare colors and styles, and tap to choose. Because there are no timers or scores, children can take as long as they like to decide. The activity emphasizes personal preference rather than a correct answer. [IMG_3]
Decorating the Baby Room
The final activity lets players decorate the baby room. They select wallpaper, furniture, toys, and decorations, then drag and drop items to place them where they like. The drag-and-drop controls are simple enough for young children to use without help. As with the other activities, there are no wrong placements, so the room can be arranged and rearranged freely. Completing each activity moves the story forward, giving the game a light sense of progression. [IMG_4]
