Reassembling Cat Photos, One Tile at a Time
Kitten Sliding Puzzle takes the classic sliding tile format and wraps it around a simple goal: restore a photograph of a kitten that has been cut into square pieces. One square is left empty. You click or tap any tile touching that gap, and it slides over, creating a new empty space. Repeat until the picture is whole again. [IMG_1]
Choosing Your Grid Size
Before you start, you pick a difficulty level that sets the grid size and therefore the number of pieces. A 3x3 layout is the gentle entry point; larger grids demand more planning and more moves. Each puzzle uses a different cat photo, so finishing one doesn't mean you've seen them all. [IMG_2]
Move Counting Without Clock Pressure
The game tracks how many moves you make but never runs a timer. That combination changes how you play: there's no penalty for pausing to think, yet the counter gives you a concrete way to measure improvement. Trying to beat your own move count is the main self-imposed challenge. [IMG_3]
Playing on Desktop or Mobile
Everything runs in a browser, with no download or installation. Controls respond to both mouse clicks and touchscreen taps, so the same session works on a laptop or a phone. The interface stays out of the way, which suits short breaks as well as longer solving sessions. [IMG_4]
